EPD's own Sergeant Karr and Officer Danny Rabelos were recognized for their quick actions which helped prevent a heavily armed individual from
entering the secured area of the Snohomish County Courthouse in Dec. 2022. For putting their lives on the line to protect the courthouse and staff,
Sergeant Karr and Officer Rabelos, along with courthouse marshalls and a deputy, were awarded the Sheriff's Award. Fantastic job by everyone involved
bringing this incident to a peaceful conclusion!
