As we approach winter and small businesses around the country come to grips with the knowledge that it could be a disastrous quarter, Snohomish County is making every effort to ensure that businesses are able to stay open--the right way.
They announced this week that the county would be providing what they identify as "Safe Start Kits" which consist of the necessary PPE for the business and extra sanitation supplies to help the businesses clean their consumer-facing surfaces.
With these kits, the County hopes to provide a safe shopping and dining experience for all without harming the local economy.
Snohomish County Council Chair Nate Nhring had this to say about the Safe Start Kits: “This program is a critical piece of Snohomish County’s ongoing response to COVID-19 and is especially timely as the weather turns cold and case numbers rise. Small businesses are an integral part of the county’s response to COVID-19, and we are doing our part to keep them as safe as possible and our economy as resilient as possible.”
Businesses are expected to have an especially tough winter with the coronavirus pandemic still spreading wildly and revenues down across the board for small businesses.
