Let’s explore the legends and stories of this popular Indian holiday and create an art project signifying its importance, in Madhubani style.

Sign up here to register for the program. A small number of supplies kits will be available. Visit epls.org/kits to reserve one starting on February 17.  See list below for supplies - you do not need a kit to participate.

Deepti Agrawal Mittal, artist and an educator, is a specialist of Madhubani Painting and has been practicing it since 1992. She is an MBA gold medalist and a former financial consultant at CB Richard Ellis. Deepti set out to spread her love for art by setting up an art house in 2015 called Deepti Designs Inc. Deepti has been closely working with the state and city art councils to conduct workshops, demos and exhibitions on an on-going basis. She is the president of Friends of Asian Art Association, a nonprofit organization, and a speaker on Humanities Washington Speaker Bureau program.
