Reminder: Fireworks are illegal in the City of Arlington

As we look forward to the July 4th holiday, we’re reminding  Arlington residents and visitors that all fireworks are illegal within  city limits. This is the second year of this ban on fireworks.

People who have, use, sell, trade or discharge fireworks inside the city  are breaking the law. Leading up to and through the holiday, Arlington  Police will be conducting extra patrols.  If you are caught breaking the  law, you will be fined $257 and fireworks will be confiscated.

Residents are encouraged to report illegal fireworks by calling the  non-emergency line at 425-407-3999. To keep emergency phone lines open,  please do not call 911 unless there is an immediate threat to life or  property. Be patient as Arlington Police are dispatched to respond.

Only public displays approved by the Fire Marshal are allowed. We  encourage residents to view the public fireworks display at Quake Park  on July 4 at 10:00 p.m.
