The City’s Wastewater Treatment Division has purchased a radio-controlled mower

It has arrived! The City’s Wastewater Treatment Division has purchased a radio-controlled mower. The TK-52X is designed for challenging/rough terrain. It can mow on a 50-degree

angle, cut up to 1.5” diameter brush, has a 78” cutting width and can be operated from 1000’ feet away. As part of the Dam Maintenance Program required by the Washington

Department of Ecology , City staff must maintain the steep slopes around the wastewater lagoons and the old 25-acre lagoon. Due to the steep slopes around the lagoons, staff

could not safely maintain these areas using standard equipment and without the risk of personal injury. The purchase of the mower was paid out of Utility Funds.
