Review how city spends federal block grant funds

Marysville residents are invited to review the city’s  annual performance evaluation report on how federal Community  Development Block Grant funds are spent in the city, mostly to

help  address issues around low-income housing and homelessness.

The  draft Consolidated Annual Program Evaluation Report, or CAPER, describes  actions, changes and accomplishments toward carrying out priorities and  specific objectives in

program year 2021. More than $373,000 in CDBG  funds were distributed to date in Marysville. 

Review the draft  report online at  https://www.marysvillewa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/9545/DRAFT-PY2021-CAPER.  The draft report will be made available in a format accessible

to  persons with disabilities upon request. All comments received will be  taken into consideration and included in the final report. 

Provide public comment by Monday, Sept. 26:

By mail to 80 Columbia Ave., Marysville WA 98270 (deadline 4 p.m. Sept. 26)

In person at City Council public hearing at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at Marysville City Hall.

The  Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program provides federal  grants to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing  and expanding economic

opportunities for low- and moderate-income  persons. The City reviews applications and awards funds to eligible  applicants for activities that meet established criteria.
