City customer service functions moving to new Civic Center

If you pay your water bill or apply for a building  permit in person, you’ll go to the new Marysville Civic Center at 501  Delta Ave. starting next week. Civic Center hours are 8:00

a.m.-4:30  p.m., Monday-Friday. We appreciate your patience during the move.

Utility  billing will remain open at the current City Hall, 1049 State Ave.,  through Wednesday, Oct. 19. Starting Thursday, Oct. 20, you can pay your  bill at the new Civic Center.

For Utility Billing questions, call  360-363-8001. Public access to City Hall will be by appointment only  starting Thursday, Oct. 20; for questions or to schedule an appointment,

 call 360-363-8000.

The front counter at the Community  Development and Public Works building at 80 Columbia Ave. will be closed  to walk-in customers starting Tuesday, Oct. 18. Community

Development  will reopen at the Civic Center on Wednesday, Oct. 19. For questions  about all other services or to schedule an appointment, call  360-363-8100.

City Council offices, other City Hall departments  and Public Works Engineering will move in late October and November.  City Council meetings will continue to take place at the

current City  Hall until that move is complete.

“This modern, efficient  structure will make it easy to access the city’s public-facing customer  service functions in one convenient location,” Mayor Jon Nehring said.  “Whether you

want to pay your water bill, get a building permit, attend a  City Council meeting or learn how to start a Neighborhood Watch  program, you’ll be able to do it all at the Civic Center.

The City  Council and I are looking forward to its full public opening in the next  few weeks.”

Police, Jail and Municipal Court have been working  from the north end of the new building since the summer. The Law  Enforcement Memorial formerly located at the Marysville

Library now  makes its home outside the Civic Center.

The city also is making  substantial upgrades to adjoining Comeford Park, including new  restrooms, public plaza and amphitheater seating, lighting, walkways and  landscaping.
